2023 Player Assessment Registration

UPDATE: Baseball Assessments!

Thank you for your patience while we have been dealing with mother nature interrupting our plans for our last two assessment attempts. We ask that you remain flexible as we try to work assessments in and avoid as many conflicts as possible. Unfortunately, there will be conflicts but hopefully your son will be able to attend the primary assessment date and if not the makeup date.

Right now the plan is for primary assessments to take place during the following:

10U - Thursday, September 15th starting at 5:00 PM lasting until 7:00 PM at Goeres Park (Location may change to the fairgrounds depending on field conditions)

11U - Sunday, September 18th starting at 11:30 AM lasting until 1:30 PM at Goeres Park

12U - Saturday, September 17th starting at 1:00 PM lasting until 3:00 PM at Goeres Park

13U - Saturday , September 17th starting at 11:00 AM lasting until 1:00 PM at Goeres Park

If you are unable to attend the primary assessment date, makeups are scheduled for Thursday, September 22nd.

Please contact John Tippery johntippery@gmail.com to be added to the makeup date. Assessment times will be determined depending on how many players need to attend the makeup date.

If you are unable to attend the primary or makeup date please contact Chad Bevars chadbevars@gmail.com.

Thank you,

LAYBS Board

Lodi Area Youth Softball and Baseball will be holding player assessments in the coming weeks. Please refer to the schedule below.

Registration link: https://lodiareabaseballandsoftball.sportngin.com/register/form/778248351

Attendance at assessments is not mandatory for players that want to play for recreational league teams, but is incredibly helpful for planning for next season (determining number of teams, coaches, equipment needs, field availability, etc). Attendance at assessments is mandatory for players that want to play for competitive league teams. NOTE: If a family chooses not to attend assessments, the player will only be allowed to play within a recreational league, and will not be considered eligible for competitive league teams.

Players wishing to be assessed for multiple age groups must attend each age level wishing to be assessed for. (Max 2)

Offers will be made for players to join competitive league teams (where available) based on player assessment, coach feedback, and an overall review of teams, all player skill levels, and roster needs for each division. If a family chooses to take the offer, fees will be collected later during the registration process through SportsEngine. If a family chooses not to attend player assessments, the player will only be allowed to play within a recreational league when they submit their registration.
